Financial contributions and assistance

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.

Costs to consider include:

  • uniforms

  • school books and equipment

  • excursions

  • co-curricular activities.

Voluntary school contributions

Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.

Financial assistance

If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.

Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.

Student assistance scheme

Financial assistance is available to ensure all students have access to the same events, uniforms and stationery. The Student Assistance Scheme (SAS) is a limited annual allotment of funds, provided to support students attending New South Wales government schools. The scheme enables financial assistance to be provided to eligible families for school related expenses. The Principal will assess each application and make the final decision. For more information please download the Student Assistance application form.

Payments

Payments for contributions and fees can be paid via:

  • The school website - please disregard the reference number.
  • Cash / cheque / credit card at the Administration Office between 8:00am and 1:55pm Monday to Friday during school terms.

Costs associated with going to school

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for, such as:

  • Uniforms
  • School books and equipment
  • Subject and Elective fees
  • Excursions
  • Extra-curricular activities

CAPA Fees

All CAPA subjects will incur an individual subject contribution. This will vary depending on the subject; however, may cover items such as consumables (e.g. paint, string, silks, paper, photocopying); costumes; props; texts and scripts (modules and software for modules); instruments and maintenance of class instruments.

In some cases external tutoring in advanced techniques such as Acrobatics and Ballet ensembles and companies will incur a separate contribution. This will cover the cost of costumes and performance requirements specifically designed for these ensembles.

We would like to stress the importance of your payment to the finances of our school. For the continued running of our CAPA programs it is important that all CAPA fees be paid for as soon as possible, and preferably by the end of Term 1.

Ensemble and Company Fees
Company and Ensemble fees will help defray the costs of ongoing maintenance and equipment, costumes and props, staging development, competition entry fees, copyright and licensing fees, workshops and casual replacement staff.

Year 10 and 12 Students

May we remind all parents of Year 10 and Year 12 students that all Subject and Elective fees have to be cleared before the students sign out at the end of the year. This will include any unpaid fees from previous years. You may prefer to pay the fees in small amounts throughout the year, rather than have to find the money in November or December. Please give this your consideration.

Voluntary School Contributions

Voluntary School Contributions are important in supplementing government funding. At the start of each year we ask for a voluntary school contribution to enhance our educational and sporting programs. Your support will help us to continue to provide quality teaching and learning for all students.
