Careers market
The Year 10 and Year 12 Careers Market is an excellent opportunity for students to examine the training and employment opportunities available in the career that they are interested in.
A variety of Universities, TAFE colleges, private colleges, apprenticeship providers, student exchange programs and professional associations such as the Australian Defence Force will be available to answer students' questions and to provide relevant information.
Students may speak directly to these organisations and learn more about their expectations. This day is only available for Year 10 and Year 12 students.
Please view the "Events" in the Skoolbag Communication Centre on the school’s website fto find out when the Careers Market will be held, or contact the Careers Adviser on 4728 7247.
Try a Skill
Try a Skill aims to raise the profile of traditional trades, address skills shortages in the region and connects young people to their future careers. Try a Skill allows students to have an interactive hands-on experience at various skill and trade areas.
The Try a Skill exhibition, held annually, is entertaining, informative and allows students to talk with local trades people, apprentices and TAFE teachers. This motivates students to seek information about future career choices, encouraging them to gain the best possible school education to enable them to have that choice.
