The Visual Arts are a powerful means of communication and allow students to develop creative, problem solving, lateral thinking and the opportunity to express their individuality and creativity. Visual Arts gives students the opportunities to visually respond to, comment on and express their personal thoughts, ideas, feelings and opinions. Visual Arts provides students with a broad learning experience such as Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Photography, Sculpture, Print Making, Documented Forms, Mixed Media, Computer Generated Images and Video Production.
Visual Arts enables students to become informed about, understand and write about their contemporary world. Students learn to develop their research skills, approaches to experimentation and how to make informed choices and judgements. Students learn to record procedures and activities about their artmaking in the Visual Arts Diary.
