Molly B - Class of 2019

Image: Molly has recently finished her third and final reprisal of Anybodys in West Side Story on Sydney Harbour earlier this year She is currently playing Beth in Little Women (produced by JRP Productions, playing at the Hayes Theatre until August 11) Molly is also a School Spectacular choreographer! Molly has also started studying at Charles Sturt University - pathway to a Masters of Teaching (Secondary). Whilst doing all of this, she continues to freelance as a dance teacher and movement and Performance Coach.

Douglas A - Class of 2017

Image: Douglas (Migo) is a Filipino-Australian actor, singer and host. In 2012, Douglas became a part of Glee CLUB Australia. He was discovered and then encouraged to audition for StarStruck where he became the "Ultimate Male Survivor" (male winner) of the sixth season (2015) of the talent competition. In 2016, Douglas portrayed Anthony in Encantadia, a Philipine drama fantast series. He also portrayed Yuan in the Philippine adaptation of My Love from the Star a fantasty romatic comedy television series. In 2016, he signed an album contract with GMA Music. Douglas is now back living in Australia with his wife.

Mea-Mei S - Class of 2021

Image: Meet Mea-Mei, a proud Wiradjuri and Ngiyampaa woman and a 2021 graduate of Nepean CAPA HS. Now in her third year of a Fine Arts Bachelor's program at the National Art School in Darlinghurst, Mea-Mei has already made a mark in the art world. In 2022, she received the Shirley Randell Student Award for her outstanding contributions to Fine Arts and her dedication to Indigenous perspectives in art. Mea-Mei’s work blends contemporary and traditional Indigenous elements, exploring identity and cultural heritage. Her vibrant and unique art is earning her recognition as an emerging and influential artist in Australia. We celebrate Mea-Mei's achievements and her commitment to the arts and her community. Her success story reflects the excellence and opportunities provided by a specialist public high school focused on nurturing creative talents.

Sarah C - Class of 2018

Image: I was privileged to be accepted as a performing arts student at Nepean CAPA from Year 9-12 and graduated in 2018. As a dance student I had so many opportunities to train and perform in a wide range of dance genres, representing the school in many in-house and external performances. The access to state of the art facilities and industry professionals was invaluable. I was taught by a team of extremely talented and passionate teachers, who provided so much practical and valuable support and insight. They spent many hours of their own time with me. As an art student I was blessed with highly experienced teachers who really helped me to achieve my potential and push boundaries as an artist. They provided an environment which always encouraged freedom of creative expression and they were pivotal to me achieving a place in ArtExpress. I am forever grateful to Nepean CAPA for providing a solid platform for me to pursue my Performing Arts dream. I went on to complete a 2 year Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts at ED5 International. I have recently completed two 8 month contracts with Carnival Cruise Lines as a Dancer and Singer on their largest ships - Celebration and Panorama. I will be relocating to the UK later this year to continue my journey in the performing arts world.

Cooper M - Class of 2014

Image: Before I graduated high school in 2014, I grappled with uncertainty about my future. However, my time at Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School proved to be pivotal, as I earned my Certificate III in the entertainment industry, which set me on a trajectory toward realizing my aspirations. Over the past eight and a half years, I have honed my skills within an audio-visual company, overseeing a diverse array of events ranging from corporate audio-visual setups to large-scale productions, including intricate lighting rigs, LED screen displays, and concert audio systems. In collaboration with my talented team, we have engineered immersive experiences that not only elevate artists but also adapt to the fluid dynamics of the audio-visual landscape. This industry is constantly reshaped by technological advancements, societal transformations, and evolving audience preferences, making it a vibrant reflection of our collective experiences. This journey has been profoundly rewarding. I began my career as a junior technician and ascended to the role of project coordinator before becoming the venue’s audio-visual technical services manager. Today, I take great pride in my position as the operations manager of the company. I am convinced that without the foundational knowledge and invaluable experience I gained from the VET entertainment program at Nepean High School, I would not have reached my current level of success.

Jacqui D - Class of 2017

Image: Since graduating in 2017, I performed as a Featured Artist in that year’s Schools Spectacular, and graduated from the Talent Development Project. I further studied musical theatre at Brent Street and Griffith University (now QAEMT), and now continue to audition for many shows, independent and commercial, across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Last year, I performed in the Australian national tour of Winnie the Pooh, The New Musical Stage Adaptation, which played at the Riverside in Parramatta and the Sydney Opera House. I also feature on the newly-released EP “The White Rose”, a new musical written and developed by Australian creatives. When not performing, I’ve been teaching drama at Stage School Australia and working at Marriner Group, who manage many major theatres in Melbourne. I also work at Your DNA Creative Arts, a disability day service offering exceptional creative and performing arts programs, and just performed in a short film written and produced by their Advanced Film program, coming soon! One of the biggest lessons I learnt at Nepean was how powerful and necessary the arts are to all people in all communities, and I’m thrilled to continue to share the love and passion I discovered and cultivated at high school. Many, many thanks to the staff at Nepean for generously sharing their passion with us, and continuing to support alumni beyond graduation. I’ve loved watching and cheering on fellow alumni making magic in the arts, and I can’t wait to cheer on future Nepean superstars!

Annalyse F - Class of 2011

Image: I graduated in 2011, and after completing a 3-year Bachelor of Design at the Whitehouse Institute of Design, I had my first baby girl (now 2 girls). I then decided to pursue my life dream of running my own business in the cooking world. I now own and run as the head chef Raw and Rustic Catering in the Blue Mountains, and recently launched a 2nd business with a friend called Sparkle and Sprout Events. Both allow me to create magic right here in the Blue Mountains and Surrounds as I offer a wide variety of catering services and styling for any event.

Jayd L - Class of 2017

Image: I graduated in 2017 and have been teaching singing since 2018, and I currently have over 35 students. I also Lifeguard at Raging Waters in the summer and do gigs on the side. Besides that, I also work in a head office for 2 days a week. It sounds like I work a lot but I’m having fun doing all kinds of things all the time. I was also in the House Band for the Giants Netball team through university and played at Qudos Bank Arena.

Image: Since finishing Year 10, I’ve become a qualified plumber and worked on major civil infrastructure projects. I’m now a Senior Sales Executive responsible for listing and selling homes throughout Penrith. I’ve learned the importance of staying positive, focusing on personal growth, and continually striving to enrich the lives of others.

Image: Jarrod who completed Year 10 in 2013 is a successful Carpenter-builder and business owner of JK constructions. Larissa, who completed Year 12 in 2013 is a successful Manager Casework Child Protection DCJ. Matthew who completed Year 12 in 2017 is a successful Carpenter-builder currently working and living in Queensland.
