Welcome to Year 7 - 2024

Dear Parent/Carers,

Year 7 Orientation Day will be held on Tuesday 28 November 2023 at Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School. Parents and Carers are invited to attend a Welcome Introduction in the school hall from 9:00am to 9.30. Students will be able to meet their Year Advisors as well as a range of other staff members. There will be various activities on the day that your child can participate in to help familiarise themselves with the school.

At 2:30pm students will be escorted to the school gate to be collected by parents. Please do not drive into the school grounds.

Orientation Day - Lunch
Students will enjoy a BBQ lunch at the farm. Please bring a water bottle and recess. Those students with any dietary requirements, please contact the school by Monday 20 November 2023 via email.

What Will Change In High School

In this resource, Josh (a 13 year old high school student) talks about some of the changes and similarities between primary school and high school, using positive and reassuring language throughout.

Research has found that highlighting similarities between primary school and high school can reduce student anxiety during the transition. It can help students feel confident they already have some of the skills they will need when they begin high school.
